To blog ? or Not to ?

There was a news feature in a Malayalam Daily, in which  they try to put more light to human trafficking mafia, those who are active in Kerala.

There are stories about  people offered job in Gulf and reached in Sex Racket and the other story is about people living in Libyan Slave Camp.

There are millions of Indian people working in Gulf countries. They are skilled and unskilled labors. Today Government is doing enough to  regulate recruiting agencies and publish/advertise about the requirement to posses a job in Gulf countries. Even though people are not bothered about it and going on Visit Visa and other Visas without having proper investigations. Thus they reach in such camps or rackets.

There are number of stories in newspaper about the racket, then why still people are trapped? They are going to Gulf countries with a dream to be rich and not for livelihoods, if one want to work in Kerala there are enough opportunities.  The requirements are high so that workers are coming from other states. Kerala is becoming ‘Gulf’ for people in other states. They are earning at least  Rs. 250-300 a day, Keralites does not wish to work here in Kerala, they will do anything in other country or state, because of that they are living in such camps and eating ‘grass’.

I was in Dubai for an year, it was in 1998. I had gone there on a visit visa and tried to find a job. I did not get anything good. Later thought of joining with a firm, the salary was very less, but I had to take up that job. I worked there for 9 months and I had to file a case to get my salary and other benefits. After a month I got my dues and I returned to Mumbai with a ‘No Entry’ in my passport. I know the situation in Gulf and I have seen lot of people in Mumbai with a dream to go to Gulf.

People should understand that Gulf is not what you dream, reality is different. Everyone should be vigil  and only go once you have proper documents like work permit, employment visa etc.

Gulf countries should impose stringent rules on illegal migrants, recruiting agencies etc.  They should not offer any so called ‘general pardon’.

I would like to add another story along with it. We used to read many stories of Sexual abuse, Date Rape, Cheating case etc.  I was thinking why these things happens frequently even after having media coverage to such incidents?, is our girls not reading newspaper, are  they watching only serials and reality shows?

In a recent news story, a case was registered against a man by a women, who gave birth to his baby and says he cheated her.  Cheating should be treated as per the law of our land, but what about the thinking process of a human?

Our girls should be vigil and should not believe false promises, live in reality not in ‘reality shows’ or serials.

I have discussed this matter with one of my friends, he said ‘these people will never learn unless they experience’.  Yes, experience can cause your life, so be vigilant.
